Minimum qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with consumer electronics and shipping products.
  • Knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes, and development planning.
  • Ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against plans.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive several tasks at once.
  • Passion for improving processes and plans.

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager, you will use technical expertise to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. The role involves explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Pixel team designs and delivers mobile experiences, shaping Pixel devices and services through advanced consumer-electronics designs, techniques, products, and experiences. The work brings together artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and transformative user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development of Pixel hardware products and drive the team’s overall execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet schedule, system-build milestones, cost, quality, and manufacturability targets.
  • Drive product-development processes and phase-gate reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead resolution of key technical issues and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Interface between joint development partners and cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
