About the job

Product Managers guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds, breaking down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

The team works closely with engineers, designers, marketers, and other partners to design and develop technologies that improve access to information. Product Management guides products throughout the execution cycle, focusing on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring solutions to users.

As a Product Manager, you will lead a dedicated cross-functional sub-team of ten or more Software Engineers, one UX Designer, and one UX Researcher. The team is part of the larger Chrome Android portfolio, a distributed organization of more than eighty members, mostly located across the West Coast.

You will drive the development of consumer-facing application features and core foundational stack capabilities, frequently running experiments to validate product hypotheses. The role requires persistence in achieving meaningful impact despite complex organizational or technical constraints and offers the opportunity to shape mobile browsing at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design and launch experiments with analytics around usage metrics and business impact; iterate based on analysis and UX research concept studies.
  • Engage and align with the broader Chrome team on feature-engagement trade-offs and the latest capabilities and content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, UX Design, UX Research, Marketing, Legal, Privacy, and Public Relations.
  • Take responsibility for the planning, execution, and success of complex cross-functional projects.
  • Extend product strategy for specific user segments and drive it forward, gaining buy-in from leadership and stakeholders across Chrome and Android teams.
