HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Temporary)

Duration: August 1, 2026 to January 1, 2027
Pay Rate: $27-$35/hour
Location: Rocklin, CA (On-site)

Purpose of the Position

The HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides critical support across recruitment execution and HR administration during a temporary period of staffing transition. This role bridges talent acquisition and human resources functions, supporting candidate pipeline management, hiring manager coordination, and HR operational workflows to maintain continuity across active recruitment initiatives and employee-related processes.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Screen, score, and evaluate resumes against job descriptions for assigned open requisitions
  • Conduct preliminary phone screens to gather candidate background, availability, logistics, and compensation expectations
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate calendar invites between candidates and hiring managers
  • Source and identify qualified candidates on LinkedIn when applicant flow is slow
  • Post and manage job listings in Greenhouse (ATS), including status updates and job board management
  • Order background checks and drug screenings via Checkr and track completion status
  • Maintain routine candidate communication, including status updates, follow-up emails, and text outreach
  • Organize prescreen notes and prepare candidate summaries for hiring manager review
  • Move candidates through appropriate pipeline stages in Greenhouse as hiring decisions are made

HR Administration

  • Maintain and organize employee personnel files according to company policy and legal requirements
  • Prepare and process offboarding documentation for separating employees
  • Scan, file, and distribute HR mail and employee documents
  • Audit HRIS data and identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor and respond to HR inbox inquiries and employee questions
  • Prepare HR documents, reports, and internal communications as needed
  • Support coordination of employee trainings, onboarding, and engagement events
  • Schedule meetings and provide administrative support to HR team members
  • Support ongoing HR projects and departmental initiatives as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, or similar recruitment/HR software
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Reliability and consistent attendance throughout contract period

Other Specialized Skills

  • Experience with Greenhouse ATS or similar recruiting platforms
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn for sourcing and candidate outreach
  • Customer service orientation and ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders

What You'll Do - Build and improve recruiting processes, workflows, templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures. - Identify recruiting trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve speed, quality, and consistency. - Build the operating framework for university recruiting, trade school partnerships, military and veteran hiring, internships, and hiring events. - Maintain relationship trackers, event calendars, outreach templates, candidate follow-up workflows, and program reporting. - Partner with recruiters and business leaders to align recruiting programs to workforce needs. - Build and improve recruitment marketing materials, employer brand content, and candidate-facing messaging. - Develop OpCo-specific employee value proposition materials highlighting culture, career paths, project work, leadership, benefits, training, and growth opportunities. - Create and maintain job ad templates, campaign messaging, employee testimonial content, career page content, social recruiting materials, and hiring event collateral. - Improve job postings to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with target candidate audiences. - Track effectiveness of recruitment marketing channels and campaigns, including job boards, social platforms, career pages, hiring events, and candidate source data. - Create tools and resources to improve hiring manager experience, including intake guides, interview guides, scorecard instructions, and process maps. - Build candidate communication templates, follow-up standards, and feedback tools. - Manage TA project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and follow-up actions. - Track recruiting vendor usage, job board performance, and channel effectiveness. - Maintain a centralized library of recruiting collateral and candidate-facing content. - Drive consistency in usage of Greenhouse and future recruiting systems. - Support Workday ATS readiness through documentation, testing coordination, and change readiness materials. - Build and manage recurring recruiting reports, dashboards, scorecards, and leadership updates. - Monitor recruiting data quality including candidate stages, source tracking, dispositions, requisition status, and hiring activity. What We're Looking For - 3+ years experience in recruiting operations, talent acquisition, HR operations, program management, recruiting coordination, recruiting systems, recruitment marketing, workforce programs, or related area. - 1+ years experience with university recruiting, trade school recruiting, military hiring, internships, hiring events, workforce programs, or recruitment marketing. - Proven experience with EVP content and employer branding. - Strong organizational and project management skills. - Ability to build processes, tools, templates, reports, trackers, and repeatable workflows. - Experience with applicant tracking systems; Greenhouse or Workday experience is a plus. - Comfort working with recruiting data, reports, dashboards, and candidate source information. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. - Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. - Experience in construction, skilled trades, MEP, industrial services, field services, or multi-site organizations is a plus.
