With complete brand context, customer data, and performance history in one place, every marketer finally has the power to build and ship end-to-end campaigns themselves. Teams move faster, stay on brand, and get AI marketing that actually works. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in San Francisco, Hightouch enables marketing teams to analyze performance, brainstorm ideas, and generate creative at a speed and quality that wasn't previously possible. Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Customer Data Platforms, Hightouch is trusted by leading enterprises like Domino's, Spotify, Aritzia, Cars.com, Ramp, and PetSmart. At Hightouch, our mission is to help our customers leverage data and AI to grow their businesses. The team is ambitious, impact-driven, efficient — and we believe humility, kindness, and compassion are essential to our success. If you're energized by velocity, obsessed with raising the bar, and want to build alongside people who care deeply about each other and our customers, we'd love to meet you. About the Role We are looking for a Staff AI Productivity Engineer to accelerate how our engineering organization works with AI coding tools. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building infrastructure, tooling, and documentation that makes AI agents dramatically more effective across our codebase. AI tools are evolving rapidly, and we believe the companies that invest in making agents truly productive - not just available - will have a significant advantage. You'll own this problem end-to-end: from setting up cloud development environments where agents can run autonomously, to building MCP integrations that give agents access to our internal systems, to creating the documentation and context that helps agents understand how we build software. You'll have the hands-on acumen to do a lot of the heavy lifting yourself and the leadership skills to drive cross-team efforts to raise the bar everywhere. This role is a companion role to our Developer Productivity role but has a distinct focus: while Dev Productivity owns the build/test/deploy pipeline, you'll own the AI-assisted development experience. An exceptional candidate could wear both hats. Some of the problems we'll be working on include: Own the agentic development environment: Ensure agents can operate in independent cloud-based development environments, execute our full test suites, examine build results visually, etc Build our tooling integrations: Build MCP server integrations that connect our agents to the systems needed to build and debug software, such as CircleCI, Slack, Datadog, Github, etc Documentation and context: Own our repo-wide agents.md file and work with teams to ensure our library of agent guidance and skills is continually pushing the bar. Ensure our conventions and package structures are exposed in ways that agents can effectively use Enablement: Work with our engineers to understand where agents are struggling and address root causes such as better docs, tooling access, etc. Develop tooling for non-engineers to make simple visual updates to our application Serve as a "PM" for internal AI agents: Consistently keep us on the leading edge of AI productivity trends by staying abreast of what is state-of-the-art in industry and driving those improvements across Hightouch We are looking for talented, intellectually curious, and motivated individuals who are interested in tackling the problems above. This is a senior role, but we focus on impact and potential for growth more than years of experience. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $400,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, and offer early exercise and a 10 year post-termination exercise window. About You You are an engineer with a passion for solving hard technical problems that generate real value for customers. You're motivated by high ownership and are comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment. Must have Strong software engineering fundamentals—you can dive into complex backend code and understand it quickly Deep hands-on experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Devin, or similar) Experience writing effective agent documentation, custom instructions, or context files that meaningfully improved agent output Track record of building developer tools or infrastructure that other engineers actually use Comfortable working across the stack: you'll touch CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, internal tooling, and application code Nice to have Experience building or contributing to MCP servers or similar agent-tooling integrations Background in developer productivity, platform engineering, or developer experience roles Experience with our stack: TypeScript/JavaScript monorepos, Go, GraphQL You've set up sandboxed or containerized development environments at scale Interview Process Our goal with the interview process is to balance speed with giving both parties opportunities to assess whether there is a strong mutual fit. We will ask you questions, but we want you to ask us questions! Our technical interviews focus on how you design systems because we believe this is the best way for us to see how you work and for you to see how we collaborate. We don't ask you to write code to solve technical brainteasers that don't appear in your day to day job. With complete brand context, customer data, and performance history in one place, every marketer finally has the power to build and ship end-to-end campaigns themselves. Why this role matters You'll be designing the future of agentic marketing at a critical inflection point. We're not just moving data anymore. We're building AI agents that make real-time, data-driven decisions across entire customer journeys. This is 0-1 product work in a space where the rules are still being written. The opportunity is massive. Hightouch is investing heavily in Agents, and you'll be on the team doing the groundbreaking work. We're talking about tools that blend first-party data with machine learning models to unlock outcomes that were literally impossible before. Fast-moving, high-stakes, high-reward. The design team We're a talented team spanning coast to coast, all remote-first. You'll grow faster here because we don't have layers of process or bureaucracy slowing you down. You ship. You learn. You iterate. Repeat. How we work: Weekly crits: Bring your work, get constructive feedback from relevant stakeholders. Design jams: We jam on the big stuff as a team (color palettes, new patterns, practice retros). Design system: We've invested in our system since day one. Expanding library, regular sync with engineering. Design cooldown: Bi-weekly sessions where we experiment with new tools, run design exercises, and work on side projects that have nothing to do with our roadmap. Past activities include building interactive prototypes in Framer, exploring AI design tools, and collaborative illustration sessions. We don't just talk about craft. We live it. Check out our 2025 recap to see a sample of what we shipped last year. You'll be surrounded by talented and collaborative folks, which means you're constantly learning from people who challenge the way you think. No stagnation here. What you'll do You'll create and iterate on powerful tools for marketing teams using our Agents product suite. This means: 0-1 innovation: You're building new products in uncharted territory. Rapid iteration: Demonstrate your thinking through rapid designs and prototypes, not endless presentations. Product strategy: You'll connect directly with customers through research sessions, synthesize insights from usage data and feedback, and use that understanding to influence product direction and prioritization. Your voice will shape what we build. Live collaboration: You'll work directly with other designers, engineers, and PMs to define product details as a team. High growth: We don't expect you to know everything. We expect you to learn fast. What you bring 6+ years designing and shipping user-friendly features or applications in technical spaces (bonus: B2B data or marketing products). Curiosity about AI: You're tinkering with new technologies constantly. You're not just watching AI from the sidelines. Craft excellence: Your visual, UI, and interaction skills are sharp. You can take a user problem from idea to high-fidelity solution. Team player mentality: You're kind, humble, and assume good intentions. You seek to understand before reacting. Figma proficiency required. Bonus if you're comfortable in Cursor, Framer, or Claude Code. The reality check This role is not for everyone. If you need clear guardrails, slow iteration cycles, or a mature product to optimize, this isn't it. We're in rapid experimentation mode. Things are ambiguous. You'll need to be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating based on what we learn. But if you want to work on products that didn't exist six months ago, with a team that moves fast and trusts you to own your domain, this is the place. Interview process Recruiter screen [30m]: Intro call. Manager screen [30m]: First conversation with Elliot, who leads the product design team, to learn more about your history and career trajectory. Team portfolio review [30m]: Review of your previous work. Design exercise [60m]: Live exercise we'll run through together where we'll give you a problem and want to see how you begin breaking it down. No homework. Just jamming live on a problem similar to how we work daily. Follow-up 1:1s [30m]: Meet members of the team to wrap up any final questions. FAQs This role is remote for North America. Optional offices in NY, SF, Charlotte We don't use formal levels at Hightouch. "Senior" is a placeholder. Your compensation will match your actual experience and skills, and we'll scope the role to fit your capabilities. We have limited inbound applications to one application per candidate. You will be auto-rejected if you apply to multiple roles. Please only apply to the position you are most qualified for. E-Verify Statement Hightouch participates in E-Verify. Staff Product Designer

Senior

Los Angeles, CA

210,000 - 250,000 USD/yr

🏢 Summary: Staff Product Designer role owning a core product area from ambiguous problem framing through polished delivery. The position combines product strategy, interaction and visual design, prototyping, systems thinking, and AI-enabled workflows while influencing cross-functional partners and design quality. 🗂️ Requirements: Staff-level product design experience, Portfolio demonstrating product-design range and a specialist strength, Ability to set product direction and raise design quality beyond individual work, AI-enabled design, exploration, prototyping, and delivery experience, Systems-thinking ability to create scalable patterns, Strong collaboration with product, engineering, research, and design systems teams 📃 Skills: AI, Prototyping, Interaction, Visual, Product, Systems 🏢 Description: Role Overview Linktree is evolving from a link-in-bio tool to the place creators and businesses run everything — a control center that helps them understand what's working across platforms and decide what to do next, with intelligence and guidance built on their own data. We're scaling the design team across several experience pillars, and we hire versatile Staff designers with real range and a clear spike, then place them where they'll have the most impact. Why This Role Matters A consumer product at this scale is made or broken by design. The hard part isn't producing screens; it's the judgment to frame an ambiguous problem, decide what's genuinely worth building, and carry it through to something shipped and polished. This role exists to hold that bar: a versatile designer with real range and a true spike, whose taste and standards raise the craft of everyone around them. What You'll Do Own a core surface or problem area end to end — from framing the problem to shipping high-craft work. Set direction and raise the quality bar around you, not just ship your own screens. Work the full range of the craft: product thinking, interaction and visual design, and prototyping to production fidelity. Partner closely with PM, engineering, research, and design systems. Use AI natively in how you explore, prototype, and ship — and help push our practice forward. Lead through influence, lifting the craft of the designers around you What We’re Looking For Range with a spike — a versatile product designer who's genuinely great at something, with a portfolio that shows both. Staff-level scope — you set direction and raise the bar for more than your own work. AI as part of how you work (a baseline for us), with the depth to move our practice forward. Low ego, high collaboration — your craft serves the product; you make the people around you better. Systems thinking — you design patterns that scale across surfaces and teams. Sharp product judgment; empathy for creators and the creator economy is a plus. Your depth — and your range We hire for both. Your spike is what you're known for; your range is the judgment to frame problems, the taste to know what's worth building, and the ability to work well outside your comfort zone when the problem calls for it. The strongest candidates are strong product designers first. Why Join Linktree Be part of a rapidly growing company that's shaping the future of how people connect online.
