The Machine Shop is a cohort of 5–8 builders deeply embedded in product and engineering teams shipping agentic workflows, ML quoting models, and vision-based quality tools to aerospace, defense, and medical clients.

- Self-taught or non-traditional candidates with demonstrable work

- Review & Selection: Submissions are reviewed by engineering and AI leadership. Approximately 25 finalists advance.
- Onsite Build Day: Attend an onsite event in Waltham, MA or North Bethesda, MD. Present a project and participate in a live build exercise using the company AI stack.
- Offer the Next Day: Selected candidates receive an offer within 24 hours.
- Cohort Starts: Onboarding begins with immediate contribution to production code.

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $105,000-125,000 annually depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
