About the Role

As a Mechanical Assembler at Rocket EMS, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and inspecting mechanical components and subassemblies used in high-reliability electronic systems. You'll follow detailed work instructions and drawings to build products that meet strict quality, safety, and customer requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, hardware, and subassemblies according to drawings, MPIs, and work instructions.
  • Install fasteners, brackets, enclosures, connectors, and other mechanical hardware to specified torque and alignment requirements.
  • Perform mechanical fit-up, alignment, and basic adjustments to ensure proper function and appearance.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and materials against BOMs and travelers prior to assembly.
  • Conduct in-process and final visual inspections to ensure assemblies meet workmanship and quality standards.
  • Accurately document work performed and record completion of operations in travelers or production systems.
  • Identify defects, missing parts, or discrepancies and escalate issues to leads, supervisors, or quality personnel.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Maintain tools, fixtures, and workstations in clean and working condition.
  • Support rework or repair activities as directed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to quality, efficiency, and ergonomics.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Technical training or coursework in mechanical assembly or manufacturing preferred.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or related production environment.
  • Experience working from drawings, travelers, and written instructions.
  • Electronics manufacturing or high-reliability assembly experience preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, torque tools, and basic measuring equipment.
  • Ability to identify workmanship issues and follow corrective instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Dependable, organized, and quality-focused.

Pay Range

$24—$26 USD
