Responsible for short term 1-3 years, and mid-term, 3-5 years long term planning and target setting. Develops departmental goals and objectives that align and support division and organization. This may include conducting feasibility studies, developing process control specifications, preparing or modifying equipment and tools, examining the implemented process and its capability, and confirming product quality. Development of processes for new products, based on design specifications and engineering changes, to detect and solve problems prior to the beginning of mass production. Preparation and presentation of design and procurement review material. Analyzing data from new product trials, and improvement plans. Relates well with others, including as appropriate with, peers, production associates and production CoC, engineering CoC, upper management, customers, and suppliers. Maintains good attendance and assumes the appropriate role (s) when working in a team environment.
