Position Summary

Performs Plumber/Pipefitter duties in the construction, installation, alteration, remodeling, removal, and replacement of plumbing systems. Installs plumbing systems and related components correctly and in a timely manner while supporting customer satisfaction and workplace safety. Works under close supervision in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, domestic water, and drainage systems according to plumbing codes.
  • Inspect structures to locate and mark positions for pipes and connections.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
  • Perform leak detection tests using water or air and read gauges.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe fittings.
  • Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and metal and nonmetal pipes.
  • Install plumbing fixtures including toilets, drains, and water heaters.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other tradesmen.
  • Maintain inventories of tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure plumbing systems are safe and operating efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols and comply with plumbing codes and regulations.

Qualifications
