Job Summary
The Wealth Advisor focuses on deepening relationships with an established base of clients and organically growing their practice through referrals, while leveraging a unified in-house team of experts to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Advisors focus exclusively on their clients and act as fiduciaries, utilizing advanced knowledge of financial planning and investments to diagnose client needs and propose tailored solutions. They are supported by a technology platform and a team of experts in portfolio management, financial planning, tax, estate planning, and related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Partner with affluent clients to identify financial goals, analyze their financial landscape, and develop recommendations aligned with defined objectives
- Communicate complex financial solutions clearly and effectively
- Build meaningful, long-term client relationships to ensure retention
- Leverage solutions including tax, estate planning, and insurance to deliver comprehensive strategies
- Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory policies and company standards of client care
- Act as a fiduciary, placing client interests first
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferably Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance); Master’s degree a plus
Experience:
- 7–10 years of relevant experience (Independent Advisor, Registered Representative, Securities Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner, Certified Public Accountant)
Certifications/Licenses:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required, or acceptable alternative (ChFC, PFS, CFA, CIC)
- Series 65 required unless exempt based on designation and state regulations
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of financial products and financial planning concepts
- Ability to present investment, finance, and tax planning solutions
