Job Summary

The Wealth Advisor focuses on deepening relationships with an established base of clients and organically growing their practice through referrals, while leveraging a unified in-house team of experts to help clients achieve their financial goals.

The role allows advisors to focus exclusively on clients while utilizing advanced knowledge of financial planning and investments to diagnose client needs and propose tailored solutions. Advisors are supported by a technology platform and experts in portfolio management, financial planning, tax, estate planning, and related services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Partner with affluent clients to identify financial goals, analyze financial situations, and develop recommendations aligned with defined objectives
  • Communicate complex financial solutions using strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Ensure client retention through meaningful long-term relationships and implementation of appropriate financial solutions
  • Leverage solutions including tax, estate planning, insurance, and related services to provide comprehensive client offerings
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory policies and company standards of client care
  • Act as a fiduciary, placing client interests and outcomes first

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance
  • Master's degree is a plus

Experience

  • 7-10 years of related experience as an Independent Advisor, Registered Representative, Securities Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner, or Certified Public Accountant

Certifications/Licenses

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required or equivalent designation including ChFC, PFS, CFA, or CIC
  • Series 65 required unless exempt through qualifying designation in applicable states

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of the industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts
  • Ability to present investment, finance, and tax planning solutions effectively to clients
  • Knowledge of the economic landscape and its impact on clients and the firm
  • Experience utilizing financial planning software
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Sales aptitude and entrepreneurial mindset preferred
  • Understanding of investments, ISG, asset allocation, and portfolio analysis
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings and training

Work Schedule

  • Business hours Monday through Friday

Compensation

Total expected cash compensation range: $170,000 - $210,000 USD
