The Fleet Operations Team drives uptime and operational performance across a growing fleet of deployed robotic systems. Working inside live manufacturing environments, the team diagnoses issues, restores production, and continuously improves system reliability at scale. The team operates at the intersection of robotics, controls, and factory execution, ensuring automation delivers consistent, measurable performance.

About the role

As a Robotics Field Service Engineer, you are the front line of technical ownership across deployed robotic cells. You will diagnose failures, restore systems to production, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and represent the company within customer facilities.

This is a hands-on, high-accountability role in uptime-critical environments requiring disciplined troubleshooting and structured documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells
  • Respond to remote and on-site escalations and restore systems quickly
  • Provide hands-on technical support to operators and maintenance teams
  • Log service activity and asset updates in CMMS systems
  • Monitor system performance using dashboards and fleet tools
  • Document service work and root cause analysis with clarity
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards including LOTO compliance
  • Participate in RCA sessions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of field service experience with robotic or industrial automation systems
  • Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings
  • Experience using CMMS platforms
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 80% and overnight up to 50%
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and disciplined field execution

Compensation

This role is paid hourly at $29–$44 per hour. With typical 50+ hour workweeks including travel and site activity, total annualized earnings generally range from $83,000 to $126,000 depending on experience and hours worked. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable law.
