About the Role
Digital Turbine is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a cross-functional team in our Warsaw hub, driving the delivery of high-scale products across the full SDLC. This hands-on role combines people leadership with technical ownership, where you will mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions from design through to production deployment.

About the Manager, Software Engineering Role
Lead, mentor, and develop an engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Own team execution and delivery, ensuring commitments are met with high quality and predictable outcomes
Work closely with Product Managers to refine requirements, estimate work, and plan sprint and release goals
Manage software development across the SDLC, from design and implementation through deployment and production support
Serve as a technical leader for the team, guiding design decisions, reviewing code, and promoting engineering best practices
Actively collaborate with other engineering teams and managers to ensure alignment, dependency management, and smooth delivery of shared initiatives
Identify risks and impediments early and proactively drive resolution
Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement for team members
When needed, contribute hands-on through coding, code reviews, documentation, and technical problem-solving
About you as the Manager, Software Engineering
At least 5 years of professional software development experience
2+ years of people management experience, including coaching, performance feedback, and career development
Experience working in an agile development environment, leveraging frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
Strong experience building and supporting enterprise-scale software systems
Solid understanding of software design principles and ability to guide a team through technical trade-offs and solutions
Experience designing and working with microservice-based architectures
Hands-on experience with containerized environments and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Strong knowledge of modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or GCP)
Experience working with relational and NoSQL data stores (e.g., Postgres, DynamoDB, or similar)
Good understanding of software development best practices, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with messaging or streaming platforms such as Kafka
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and teams
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js)
Exposure to serverless architectures and cloud-native patterns
Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies
Previous experience in Ad Tech is a plus, but not required
