Description

Provide adult internal medicine care at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Manage complex illnesses across cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, rheumatologic, hematologic, and infectious disease. Coordinate individualized treatment plans with specialists, emergency department clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adults with acute and chronic medical conditions
• Manage complex conditions across multiple specialties (cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, rheumatologic, hematologic, infectious disease)
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory testing, imaging, electrocardiograms, and pulmonary function tests
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
• Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine
• At least two years of post-residency clinical experience within the past three years providing direct patient care in internal medicine
• Current, unrestricted medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Current BLS and ALS or ACLS certification
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to meet facility credentialing, privileging, and background screening requirements
