Description

Join a busy cardiac practice as an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant dedicated entirely to the operating room. You will support complex cardiac and thoracic procedures and anticipate surgeon needs during the case.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% operating room support for cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures

• Prepare and handle surgical conduit for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)

• Assist with surgical suturing, wound closure, and hemostasis techniques

• Anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures

• Recognize intraoperative complications and communicate them in a timely manner

Requirements

• Prior experience as a practicing Cardiothoracic OR Physician Assistant

• Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)

• Experience supporting coronary procedures

• Experience supporting valvular surgery

• Experience supporting aortic surgery

• Experience supporting thoracic procedures

• Not open to new graduates
