Description

Join a growing cardiac surgery team in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. You will manage cases including CABG, valve replacement/repairs (including TAVR), ECMO, and aortic aneurysm repairs. Responsibilities include bedside procedures within scope, progress notes, orders, discharge notes, daily rounds, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide CVICU patient care for cardiothoracic and cardiac cases

• Perform bedside procedures within scope of service

• Write progress notes and dictate/discharge documentation

• Participate in daily rounds and write orders

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care

• Contribute to hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Experience managing cardiothoracic surgery or cardiac patients

• ICU experience

• Prior experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant

• Nurse practitioners must be certified in acute care
