Description

You will lead hardware engineering activities for new development programs and sustaining efforts for existing TDL product lines, providing technical direction and oversight while working closely with cross-functional teams to develop a new Link 16 capability. You will ensure designs meet specifications, coordinate with Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations for production transition, and may support customer discussions to ensure on-time deliveries and requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead hardware engineer on new development and sustaining efforts to ensure designs and product performance meet specifications

• Apply configuration management principles to design documentation and maintain technical data packages

• Lead program technical, schedule, and cost performance for hardware engineering scope, including proposal reviews, cost approvals, program reviews, and oversight of key technical decisions

• Participate in and/or lead failure investigations related to design, production build processes, and customer returns

• Contribute to new business pursuits through cross-functional relationship building

• Partner with Engineering Leadership, Business Development, and Program Management to align strategy and execute projects

• Work with Operations to transition hardware designs to production/manufacturing using established company processes

• Use excellent written and verbal communication to work effectively with customers and teammates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 9 years related experience or graduate degree with minimum 7 years related experience or in lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years related experience

• Active US Secret security clearance
