Description

Build and modernize mission-critical intelligence applications by designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions. Automate internal tracking and information-sharing processes, design cloud-native distributed systems, and develop secure APIs and databases. Collaborate with customers and technical teams to improve performance, scalability, maintainability, and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern applications, software tools, and reusable components for mission-critical operations
• Create solutions that automate internal tracking, data collection, and information-sharing workflows
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical designs, specifications, and implementation plans
• Develop and support software using industry-standard engineering practices and development tools
• Evaluate existing applications and identify improvements for performance, scalability, maintainability, and UX
• Estimate development effort, project timelines, and resource requirements
• Design and implement cloud-native, distributed systems with high availability and reliability
• Collaborate cross-functionally to modernize legacy environments and accelerate delivery of mission information
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and supporting infrastructure for secure data exchange
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Technical education and experience directly related to the position (High School/GED + 12+ years OR Associate’s + 10+ years OR Bachelor’s + 8+ years OR Master’s + 6+ years OR Doctorate + 4+ years)
• Production-level experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js, and/or Angular)
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, Sass/SCSS/Less and responsive design
• Experience with modern build tools and package managers (Vite, Webpack, Babel, npm, pnpm, and/or Yarn)
• Experience with unit and integration testing tools (Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright)
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and frontend performance optimization
• Experience designing scalable, high-availability, cloud-native distributed systems
• Strong API design/integration experience (REST, gRPC, WebSockets)
• Experience with caching and content delivery (Redis, Memcached, CDNs)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with NoSQL/document databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Experience designing and deploying in AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize
