Description

Build and scale mission-critical platforms that calculate and deliver restaurant employee pay, including tip pooling, wage calculation, earnings retrieval, and payroll delivery. Work with Design, Product, and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable full-stack software and contribute to architecture and code quality through reviews. Use AI tools to enhance your development workflow and improve velocity.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust and scalable full-stack software applications with Design, Product, and other engineering teams

• Design, build, and maintain high-performing, flexible, scalable solutions for restaurant pay experiences

• Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews to ensure requirements are met

• Participate in architectural discussions and help influence the technical roadmap

• Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to improve workflow and velocity

Requirements

• 3+ years of back-end experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar)

• Proficient with modern web standards and technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, REST, GraphQL)

• Proficient with traditional databases and alternative data stores

• Experience delivering high-quality, reliable services to production

• Experience with distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and/or microservices

• Strong focus on precision and correctness because calculations impact pay

• Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics

• Passion for technology and learning new things
