Description

The Principal Software Engineer will build, maintain, monitor, and scale enterprise platform services, including IAM, communications, payments, and API gateways. You will collaborate with product, architecture, and design leads to deliver highly available, fault-tolerant services while applying engineering best practices for software quality and operational excellence. The role also involves helping define the platform roadmap and providing input into the overall technical strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 9+ years of experience in backend or platform software engineering
• Highly proficient in backend platform engineering using C#/.NET or TypeScript/Node.js
• Expertise in REST and GraphQL API design
• Experience with event-driven messaging
• Proficiency with OAuth 2.0/OIDC and token lifecycle
• Experience with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development, including agent design and evaluation, MCP and tool integration, and prompt and context engineering
• Aptitude with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

• Base pay range (CA, WA, NJ, MA, DC, NYC): $201,200–$229,100 per year
• Base pay range (all other US locations): $182,900–$208,300 per year
• Eligible for bonus and equity
