Description

Provide routine patient care, support, and services within your legal scope of practice, following established standards of care and facility policies. Support the patient’s plan of care through sound judgment, basic clinical skills, and clear interaction with patients, families, and care teams. Adhere to privacy and safety requirements and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient care and supportive services
• Follow standard clinical procedures and use routine medical equipment
• Apply basic emergency care knowledge for the role (e.g., chest compressions and calling 911)
• Communicate patient-care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
• Prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures
• Work independently and as part of a team while handling interruptions
• Help identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
• Maintain privacy and safety compliance with local/state/federal regulations

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification
• Proficiency in fundamental patient-care techniques and standard clinical procedures
• Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled formats
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Written and verbal communication skills appropriate for patients, families, and non-medical audiences
• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
