Description

You will own end-to-end machine learning initiatives—from problem formulation and offline evaluation to production deployment and online A/B testing. The work includes building multi-stage recommendation and contextual bandit models, developing notification orchestration and candidate ranking systems, and creating production LLM pipelines for accurate, real-time market insights and personalized content. You will also design resilient, low-latency model serving and real-time feature pipelines, partnering with Product and Engineering to drive measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML initiatives across the full lifecycle: formulation, offline evaluation, deployment, and online A/B testing

• Build and iterate on multi-stage recommendation, retrieval, and contextual bandit models

• Design notification orchestration, candidate ranking, and targeting to improve user experience and reduce notification fatigue

• Develop production LLM pipelines with grounding workflows and automated evaluation loops

• Architect low-latency model serving and real-time feature pipelines; improve reliability and incident response

• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering; mentor L3–L4 engineers and create AI-native workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of ML engineering and software development; experience shipping production ML that impacts metrics

• Proven domain expertise: recommendations/ranking retrieval, contextual bandits, notification targeting, or production LLM applications

• Strong backend engineering in Python or Go; hands-on ML/data stack proficiency (e.g., PyTorch, GBDTs, Spark/Databricks, Ray, Kafka, Tecton)

• Deep understanding of offline evaluation, training-serving skew mitigation, and online A/B experiment design/interpretation

• Ability to drive complex end-to-end projects, make architectural trade-offs, and mentor junior engineers

• Responsible generative AI use with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
