Description

Lead wound care across hospital, post-acute, and outpatient settings, caring for patients with chronic and complex wounds with a central focus on limb preservation. Evaluate and diagnose wounds, build individualized treatment plans, and deliver advanced wound therapies and in-clinic/bedside procedures. Coordinate multidisciplinary care and support patient and nursing education while maintaining compliant documentation and contributing to protocol quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose acute and chronic wounds; develop individualized treatment plans

• Perform bedside and in-clinic procedures including sharp debridement

• Apply advanced therapies such as cellular and tissue-based products, negative-pressure wound therapy, compression, and offloading

• Coordinate care with podiatry, vascular surgery, endocrinology, and infectious disease teams

• Teach patients, families, and facility nursing staff about wound care and prevention

• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation with support from clinical and billing teams

• Contribute to quality improvement work and wound-care protocols

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution

• Board-certified/board-eligible in a relevant specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Surgery)

• 1+ year wound care experience preferred; strong FM/IM/EM and surgery candidates considered

• Work Monday–Friday with hospital call rotation
