Description

Urgent Care Physicians provide diagnostic and preventive outpatient care to patients of all ages, including geriatric and adult patients. Responsibilities include taking medical histories, examining patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, and creating treatment plans, along with performing minor procedures (e.g., laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal). You will also splint and cast minor orthopedic injuries, document encounters thoroughly, and complete follow-up calls while handling incoming patient, pharmacy, or physician calls.

Requirements

• MD or Doctor degree

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine (with urgent care)

• Successful completion of an approved residency training program

• Active license

• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

• Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for prescription writing

• Urgent care or Emergency Department experience
