Quick Facts

  • Role: Deployment Strategist, Public Sector (Federal & SLED)

  • Location: Remote-first (anywhere in the United States); preference for Washington, DC

  • Travel: Regular customer onsite visits

Description

You will work with Forward Deployed Engineers, Go-to-Market teams, Product Engineers, and other Strategists to deploy an enterprise AI agent platform across US federal agencies and SLED organizations. Your mission is to translate mission needs, legacy workflows, and stakeholder dynamics into a clear view of the most important problems, what the product needs, and where impact will be delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Work with agency leaders, program offices, prime contractors, state/municipal departments, and education systems to identify high-impact AI agent opportunities in citizen- and student-facing and operational workflows (e.g., benefits and licensing, 311/contact centers, case management, admissions and student services, internal service desks).

  • Own flagship deals end-to-end: identify the use case, shape the commercial structure with GTM and contracts partners, and navigate public sector procurement paths (federal contract vehicles, cooperative contracts, RFPs) through to close.

  • Embed with customer teams, including time onsite (in secure facilities for federal work), and own delivery outcomes as if you were part of their team.

  • Guide customers on agent design, orchestration, and production readiness, including security, privacy, and compliance requirements specific to each segment.

  • Partner with Forward Deployed Software Engineers and Solution Engineers to build and demo solutions; present to audiences ranging from technical teams to agency heads and officials; and feed field insights back to Product and Research.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. government security clearance for federal engagements.

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role with government agencies, a public sector systems integrator, or a government-focused technology company.

  • Familiarity with public sector buying and compliance (e.g., GSA schedules, OTAs, FedRAMP and ATO processes, state cooperative contracts, state-level security frameworks, FERPA/CJIS/HIPAA where relevant) and comfort in deal conversations and long enterprise sales cycles.

  • Basic Python and API integration skills for prototyping and credible demos, plus familiarity with LLM and AI agent frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a track record of owning ambiguous, complex projects through to delivery.

Benefits

  • Annual professional development stipend (discretionary).

  • Annual discretionary social travel stipend.

  • Annual team offsite (discretionary component).

  • Monthly co-working stipend if you’re not located near one of the main hubs.
