Description

Build AI-native end-to-end systems where LLMs and the supporting harness deliver the core value. You and your team will build agentic systems, write production-grade Python, and stand up evaluation and observability—working with SMEs and end-users to design feedback loops that fit real workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship AI-native systems end-to-end (agents, workflows, RAG, harness): custom tool calling, sandboxing, context engineering with sub-agents, caching, and compaction

• Build evaluation pipelines to prove the system is genuinely useful

• Design for failure in the agent loop (retries, model fallbacks, cost limits, and human-in-the-loop for consequential actions)

• Capture domain expertise and repeatable workflows so successful patterns carry across engagements

• Engage early to shape use cases and validate technical feasibility

• Write production-grade Python for integrations, APIs, and data access and support deployment

• Work directly with SMEs and end-users (interviews, UAT, observing real workflows) to validate fit

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience with a strong recent track record building production AI/LLM applications

• Strong agent-design judgment focused on task-harness fit and real failure/policy handling rather than looping on model calls

• Ability to operate close to the client: lead discovery/feasibility and communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar) and major LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini)

• Expert-level Python and solid software engineering fundamentals

• Strong RAG and retrieval skills (vector databases, embeddings, hybrid search, re-ranking, chunking, context management)

• Proven experience evaluating generative AI quality and using observability/tracing tools (LangSmith, Arize Phoenix, Langfuse, or similar)

• Production deployment experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP with containerization and CI/CD

• Sound judgment under ambiguity (scoping, sequencing, balancing speed vs. quality vs. scope)

• English at C1 level
