Description

You will help build and operate a platform that uses GenAI/LLMs with Apache Kafka and Spring Boot microservices to identify software vulnerabilities, deliver findings to development teams, validate remediation, and provide reporting across the full vulnerability lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance cloud-native Spring Boot microservices

• Build and maintain Kafka-based event-driven processing for security findings

• Create REST APIs and integrations connecting security tooling, development teams, and reporting services

• Implement LLM integrations and agentic workflows for automated vulnerability analysis and remediation

• Track remediation status (identified/remediated/outstanding) and deliver operational/management reporting

• Add AI token usage and cost monitoring

• Design and optimize Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, retention, and schema management

• Ensure Kafka scalability, reliability, resilience, and performance; troubleshoot throughput/latency/consumer lag

• Contribute to production operations: monitoring, alerting, incident management, maintenance, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java

• Extensive hands-on experience developing applications with Spring Boot

• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs

• Strong understanding of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture

• Experience designing and consuming messaging-based integrations

• Experience developing distributed microservices architectures

• Understanding of LLMs/GenAI or agentic workflow design (prompt orchestration, semantics, model interactions, token management)

• Deep production experience with Apache Kafka, including topic/partition strategies, consumer group management, exactly-once semantics, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and failure recovery strategies

• Experience running Kafka at scale across self-managed, Confluent, or Amazon MSK environments

• Proven ability to influence architecture and engineering standards and mentor engineers
