Description

We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to help platform teams take a global post-trading system to the cloud. You will build scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot, develop persistence layers with Hibernate and Oracle, and support the transformation into cloud-hosted microservices. You’ll also integrate event-driven components with Kafka and take part in architectural discussions and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a large-scale, global post-trading system with direct business impact
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Build and optimize data persistence layers leveraging Hibernate and a large Oracle Database
• Contribute to transforming the existing system into cloud-hosted microservices
• Integrate messaging and event-driven components using Kafka
• Collaborate with chapters and pods to deliver next-generation platform capabilities
• Ensure stability, performance, and reliability of a business-critical application
• Participate in architectural discussions to shape new infrastructure within the domain
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience
• Substantial knowledge of Java (versions 8–21) and Spring Boot
• Expertise in Hibernate and SQL
• Background working with large Oracle databases
• Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven architectures
• Working knowledge of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud transformation initiatives
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
