Description

You will take technical ownership of business applications and their integrations in a marketing technology landscape. The role includes configuring, maintaining, and connecting applications through reliable data flows, partnering with Marketing, Product Owners, and architecture teams. As the first person in the role, you will help shape application engineering practices from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain business applications (configuration, access management, maintenance, and documentation)

• Build and maintain data integrations using Python, REST APIs, CSV/JSON, and AWS S3

• Deploy and maintain smaller applications and hosting environments on AWS using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD

• Assess technical feasibility with Marketing and Product Owners and implement roadmap-aligned changes

• Create reusable standards for hosting and maintaining applications to enable a scalable landscape

• Maintain technical documentation of applications, interfaces, and data flows

• Identify opportunities to automate manual work and simplify or consolidate integrations

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or comparable technical field

• Several years of experience in Application Engineering, Integration Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar

• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes (ideally AWS)

• Practical scripting with Python (or similar)

• Experience with REST APIs and CSV/JSON formats plus AWS S3

• Experience administering and maintaining SaaS/business applications

• English and Polish communication skills

• Readiness to work in a hybrid model in Katowice

Nice to Have

• Experience with marketing technology applications (e.g., Bloomreach, CDPs, ad servers, TYPO3, Frontify)

• Experience integrating with advertising/supply-side platforms or other external destinations

• Familiarity with application architecture or IT application portfolio management
