Description

Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of data pipelines and ETL processes for a Central Data Platform on Microsoft Azure. You will prepare and maintain high-quality datasets for machine learning and document processing, work with Python, SQL, and Databricks, and help with data quality checks, testing, and troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with experienced Data Engineers and other team members while learning best practices in data engineering, version control, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, storage)
• Assist with datasets for machine learning and document processing
• Work with data using Python, SQL, and Databricks
• Support data quality checks, testing, and troubleshooting
• Learn and apply best practices in data engineering, version control, and deployment
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists
• Help improve reliability and efficiency of data workflows
• Develop technical skills with modern cloud technologies

Requirements

• Some practical experience in data engineering, software development, or data-related projects (internships, university projects, or personal projects)
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or currently pursuing one)
• Good knowledge of Python and basic experience with data processing libraries
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Basic understanding of data quality, testing, and data transformation concepts
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills; analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Attention to detail and good communication/teamwork skills
