Description

You will design, build, and operate cloud networking across a large multi-account, multi-region AWS environment. This is a hands-on role using Terraform for network topology and Go for services/automation that provision and manage AWS resources. You will also improve edge infrastructure, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and deliver end-to-end infrastructure changes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud networking in Terraform (VPC/subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, load balancing)

• Own and operate partner and bank connectivity (VPNs with IPSec/IKEv2, Direct Connect, BGP)

• Improve edge infrastructure (CloudFront, AWS Shield, WAF, CDN failover strategies)

• Troubleshoot complex network issues using TCP/IP protocols and network traffic flow analysis

• Build and maintain Go services and automation for provisioning and managing AWS resources

• Deliver well-scoped infrastructure work end to end: break requirements into tasks, estimate effort, and ship well-tested changes

• Contribute to multi-account governance and paved-path abstractions for developers and AI agents

• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability, compliance, and operational excellence

• Participate in a 5-person weekly on-call rotation (with occasional late syncs)

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software, cloud, or infrastructure engineering, including writing production code, with hands-on AWS depth

• Deep knowledge of cloud networking: VPC design/subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, load balancing

• Strong hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform preferred)

• Solid TCP/IP understanding and ability to analyze network traffic flow to troubleshoot distributed connectivity issues

• Experience operating production infrastructure and understanding of versioning, deployment, and CI/CD best practices
