Description

You will own and evolve cloud networking across a large multi-account, multi-region AWS environment. This role combines infrastructure-as-code with Terraform for network topology and connectivity, plus Go services and automation to provision and manage AWS resources. You’ll troubleshoot complex distributed network issues using TCP/IP and traffic-flow analysis and deliver well-tested infrastructure changes end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud networking in Terraform (VPC design and subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing)

• Own and operate partner and bank connectivity (VPNs using IPsec/IKEv2, Direct Connect, and BGP routing)

• Improve edge infrastructure (CloudFront distributions, AWS Shield, WAF configurations, and CDN failover strategies)

• Troubleshoot complex network issues across distributed cloud environments

• Build and maintain Go services and automation to provision and manage AWS resources

• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure work: break requirements into tasks, estimate effort, and ship high-quality, well-tested changes

• Contribute to multi-account governance and “paved-path” abstractions for developers and AI agents

• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability, compliance, and operational excellence

• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation (5-person rotation)

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software, cloud, or infrastructure engineering with hands-on AWS depth

• Deep knowledge of cloud networking: VPC design/subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing

• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network traffic flow analysis for troubleshooting connectivity across distributed environments

• Experience operating production infrastructure and familiarity with best practices for versioning, deployment, and CI/CD

• Comfort writing production code (Go expected/developed in the role)
