Description

Design and develop high-performance microservices using Go and asynchronous Python. Build services for access/permission management and for processing network traffic and telemetry, integrating with network devices, messaging systems, databases, and customer environments. Maintain and optimize an existing codebase with strong focus on testing, dependency security, build reproducibility, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications in a microservices architecture

• Design and build high-performance services in Go and asynchronous Python

• Create access and permission management functionality

• Build components for network traffic and telemetry processing

• Integrate with network devices, messaging systems, databases, and customer environments

• Maintain and further develop the existing codebase

• Profile, test, and optimize performance

• Ensure code quality: automated testing, dependency security, reproducible builds

• Participate in installation package preparation, upgrades, and rollback mechanisms

• Cooperate on implementing new cybersecurity-domain functionalities

Requirements

• Very good Go knowledge, including concurrent services and UDP/TCP server development

• Profiling Go applications using pprof

• Very good asynchronous Python knowledge: asyncio, event loop, tasks, cancellation, backpressure

• Asynchronous HTTP client/server development; multiprocessing worker pools

• Practical networking knowledge at OSI L2/L3/L4 levels

• Knowledge of VLANs and networking semantics (MAC/IP, TCP flags, MTU, fragmentation, IPv4/IPv6)

• Knowledge of network flow telemetry protocols: IPFIX (RFC 7011), NetFlow v5/v9, sFlow v5

• Experience with template-based decoding, sampling rates, sequence gaps, and loss handling

• Experience with packet capture and pcap file analysis; packet crafting

• Network device automation via SSH/CLI and vendor APIs (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto)

• Experience with idempotent configuration deployment and drift detection

• Protocol Buffers: schema design/evolution and code generation

• Fast JSON and binary codecs for performance-critical paths

• Kafka: producer/consumer semantics, partitioning, acks, batching, compression, SASL/Kerberos, lag diagnosis

• Knowledge of columnar or time-series databases such as ClickHouse

• Performance profiling and optimization (memory allocation/GC pressure, lock contention analysis, zero-copy)

• Data structures knowledge (LPM/Patricia tries, LRU caches, fast hashing) and trade-off reasoning

• Load generation and sustained-throughput testing

• Knowledge of Linux (sockets, epoll, sysctl tuning, cgroups, resource limits)

• eBPF is a strong advantage

• Containers and Kubernetes (multi-stage builds, fast inner-loop environments, manifests)

• Build self-contained packages deployed in customer infrastructure (static/frozen builds, deb/rpm packages, upgrade/rollback mechanisms)

• IPC patterns such as ZeroMQ

• Cache/state synchronization design, eventual consistency, reconnect/resync after long disconnects, and idempotent event replay

• Static typing and quality-control tools (mypy, golangci-lint, formatters/linters, pre-commit gates)

• Asynchronous unit tests, snapshot tests for decoders, and load tests in CI

• Dependency and CVE management and reproducible pinned builds

• Very good English command (spoken and written)

Nice to have

• Windows/AD knowledge: WinRM, SMB, Kerberos

• SDK for one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS) for asset and log ingestion
