Description

Build and maintain backend applications using Python, including designing and operating RESTful APIs. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows with GitHub Actions, automate testing and code quality checks, and work with Docker-based environments. Define and operationalize SLOs with monitoring and alerting, improve system reliability, and support incident response in an Agile, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications in Python

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows using GitHub Actions

• Automate testing, code quality checks, and deployment processes

• Work with Docker and containerised application environments

• Define SLOs and implement monitoring and alerting strategies

• Improve system reliability and support rapid incident response

• Collaborate with distributed teams in an Agile environment

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python application development

• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks

• Practical experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD, testing, automation, and deployment

• Good understanding of Git, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows

• Experience with Docker and containerised applications

• Understanding of SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and system reliability

• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve software delivery

• Strong communication skills; ability to work independently in a distributed team

• English proficiency (minimum B2)

• Work from the European Union region with a work permit
