Description

You will be responsible for the end-to-end platform architecture for digital cockpit systems, covering hardware/BSP, bootloader, kernel, drivers, middleware, and the OS/platform layers across Android Automotive and Linux. The role includes driving H/W and S/W integration with SoC providers and multiple engineering teams, and defining Android HAL/framework integration (e.g., VHAL, Audio HAL, Power HAL, display/graphics) and the approach for Android security and compliance. You will also architect hypervisor-based multi-OS mixed-criticality cockpit environments.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end platform architecture from hardware/BSP through bootloader, kernel, drivers, middleware, Android Automotive, Linux services, and application layers

• Own digital cockpit platform architecture for instrument cluster, HUD/AR-HUD, Android IVI, multi-display systems, and vehicle information integration

• Drive HW/SW integration with SoC providers, board teams, OS platform teams, middleware, HMI, cluster teams, validation, and Tier-1/supplier teams

• Architect Android HAL and framework integration, including VHAL, Audio HAL, Power HAL, and display/graphics and related interface integration

• Define the approach for Android security and compliance

• Architect Linux middleware and cockpit services for Ethernet, SOME/IP, and REST communication

• Independently work on hypervisor-based architecture for mixed-criticality cockpit platforms

• Create architecture diagrams and UML/sequence diagrams and maintain technical decision records

• Lead architecture and design reviews, coordinate with vendors, and perform error analysis

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in embedded automotive platforms with strong HW/SW integration knowledge

• German C1+ required for customer discussions and technical workshops

• Comprehensive architecture experience in BSP, bootloader, Linux kernel, drivers, middleware, and Android Automotive

• Practical knowledge of Android HALs

• Solid understanding of Android security requirements

• Experience with hypervisor-based multi-OS cockpits

• Experience in performance optimization and debugging

• Strong presentation and technical leadership skills
