Description

Develop and bring up automotive SoC platforms and custom boards, including board validation, platform initialization, bootloader work, and device-tree configuration. Port and customize Linux (v5.x/v6.x) and Android (AOSP) BSPs, develop/debug kernel drivers, integrate with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, and optimize boot time and power management. Validate and enable key SoC peripherals and support automotive functional-safety and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform BSP / Platform Bring-Up (board bring-up, hardware validation, platform initialization)

• Develop/port/maintain U-Boot and bootloaders

• Configure and maintain DTS/DTSI for peripherals and SoC settings

• Enable and validate peripherals such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, PCIe, MIPI CSI/DSI, HDMI, Ethernet, eMMC, UFS

• Port/customize Linux kernel (v5.x/v6.x) and maintain automotive drivers

• Integrate BSP with Yocto/OpenEmbedded (recipes, layers, meta layers)

• Optimize boot time and implement power management (suspend/resume, DVFS)

• Port/customize AOSP for automotive SoCs and manage Android build/integration

• Support Android OTA updates (A/B and Virtual A/B)

• Debug Android using Logcat, ADB, systrace, perfetto, bugreports, and KGDB

• Apply awareness of ISO 26262 (ASIL A/B/C/D) and MISRA C/C++ guidelines

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field

• Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience in BSP/Embedded Linux/Android platform development for automotive

• 5–8 years overall experience

• Strong C/C++ proficiency

• Linux kernel internals knowledge (memory management, scheduling, driver model)

• Yocto Project/OpenEmbedded experience

• Git, repo, Gerrit for version control and code review

• JTAG debugging plus oscilloscope and logic analyzer skills

• ARM architecture understanding (Cortex-A/Cortex-M/Cortex-R)

• Hands-on U-Boot or other bootloader experience (e.g., GRUB, Trusted Firmware-A)
