Description

Technical Leader / System Architect for a newly created team building, from scratch, a modern system for handling insurance claims. You will make key architectural decisions, define technology standards, and support developers—also with an agentic coding approach.

Role Responsibilities

• Design the system architecture and document technical solutions
• Build the system using a microservices architecture
• Set technology direction, ensure code quality
• Collaborate with analysts, the Product Owner, and the development team
• Oversee implementation, lead code reviews, and provide technical mentoring
• Estimate effort, plan tasks, and assess architectural risks
• Design integrations and event-driven architecture-based solutions
• Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and observability
• Support development, deployment, and stabilization

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing system architectures
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry (preferred claims domain)
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring
• Experience with distributed and microservices architectures
• Practical knowledge of DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, and API Governance
• Experience integrating systems, working with cloud, and automating infrastructure
• Knowledge of end-to-end observability
• Ability to conduct code reviews, mentor, and run architecture workshops
• Experience creating technology roadmaps and managing architectural risk
• English at least B2
• Availability for hybrid work in Warsaw (minimum 3 days/week in office) and ability to provide services from Poland
