Description

You will administer and support customer IT systems—servers, networks, telephony, and email—using open technologies and tools you can understand and control. You handle customer inquiries via tickets, phone, and remote maintenance, focusing on finding and fixing root causes. You will also set up new hardware and phone systems, keep systems updated, and support backups.

Responsibilities

• Process customer requests via ticketing, phone, and remote support

• Diagnose and resolve problems (not just treat symptoms)

• Keep servers, networks, and workstations up to date and manage backups

• Configure new hardware and phone systems in the office

• Take on individual customer projects as you gain experience

• Document work so colleagues can continue without follow-up questions

Requirements

• Training as an IT specialist for systems integration or comparable practical experience

• Proficiency with Windows or Linux; learn the other in this role

• Basic networking knowledge (IP, VLAN, DNS, VPN)

• Friendly phone communication, even with stressed customers

• Good German (written and spoken)

• Class B driver’s license

• Understanding of why something fails is more important than certifications
