Description

Support deployment, sustainment, and optimization of health information technology (HIT) and EHR capabilities to improve patient care, safety, and provider needs. You will coordinate communication across clinical and business teams, partner with OIT and Health Informatics, manage data/content quality, and develop reporting and informatics tools. You’ll also apply workflow and business architecture analysis to move from as-is to to-be states and enable ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities

• Provide communication channels to clinical and business teams to support HIT deployment, sustainment, and optimization

• Coordinate stakeholder collaboration for decision-making among informatics functions

• Evaluate and improve content quality, access to knowledge resources, and data redundancy/interoperability

• Develop reports and information tools

• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of informatics tools and EHR-adjacent capabilities

• Perform workflow analysis and support improvements from as-is to to-be

• Continuously evaluate, test, and improve the VHA EHR to improve patient care and safety

• Document, prioritize, and recognize EHR/system requirements with end users; participate in requirements elicitation

• Support education and change management activities using information solutions and technology

• Provide support in formal/informal education and in-services to facility staff

• Support multidisciplinary teamwork and maintain professional relationships
