Description

You will advise a supervisory logistics management specialist on all CSS automated logistics information systems and programs. The role includes systems administration, technical and functional guidance, funding and budget requirement justification for SASMO operations, and evaluating/correcting issues to restore data and return databases to operational status. You will also manage software and device lifecycle activities, coordinate CSS interfaces with RCAS when appropriate, and conduct required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and advisory support for CSS automated logistics information systems and programs
• Identify and justify funding requirements for SASMO operations and execute received funds
• Serve as systems administrator and technical expert for state-level CSS systems
• Evaluate issues, initiate corrective actions, and restore database operational status
• Develop programs for receipt, review, validation, distribution, and implementation of CSS software
• Establish procedures for coordination on CSS automation hardware systems and peripherals (receipt, distribution, installation, lifecycle management)
• Coordinate with DCSIM to identify, develop, establish, and maintain CSS system interfaces with RCAS as appropriate
• Provide required training and advise leadership on issues/concerns

Requirements

• Maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard and be assigned to a compatible military position
• Employment conditions: uniform wear; possible pre-employment physical; possible furlough actions; possible trial period; mandatory direct deposit; and favorable T3 (or equivalent) investigation adjudication
• Minimum experience: judgment/analytical ability in the logistics field and experience using computer and automation systems
• Specialized experience (minimum 36 months): identify logistical support operations; integrate specialized support activities into logistics plans; monitor functions including planning, resource/fiscal management, training, manpower management, and automated data processing
• IT support experience: diagnose technical problems, set up computers, develop/implement programs, and coordinate with users/work centers
• Experience using STAMIS
• Ability to identify delays/problems, develop corrective actions, and work across varied levels/backgrounds while complying with regulations
