Description

Own the core architectural and technical evolution of a mission-critical, high-throughput real-time bidding (RTB) service. You will lead scalable, low-latency backend development, drive modernization and operational excellence, and advance instrumentation, observability, and experimentation capabilities. Provide technical leadership and mentorship while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability as traffic and data volumes grow.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction and execution for the core RTB service

• Lead design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend systems under strict latency and reliability requirements

• Drive platform modernization to improve code quality, maintainability, and operational safety

• Ensure performance, scalability, and service stability as requirements grow

• Define and evolve instrumentation, observability, and experimentation capabilities for data-driven and safe production changes

• Collaborate with engineering, data science, experimentation, product, and infrastructure partners

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

• 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C/C++/C#/Java/JavaScript/Python

• Experience delivering high-throughput production systems with strict scalability, latency, and stability needs

• Experience with performance and system optimization/tuning

• Proven ability to design, evolve, and maintain complex systems over time

• Cross-functional collaboration experience

• Strong production problem-solving for performance/reliability issues

• Real-time bidding/ad tech/high-frequency decision systems experience

• Experience with ML-driven decision systems or integrating models into production pipelines

• Exposure to large-scale data processing or feature pipelines

• Experience with cloud environments and modern deployment practices
