Description

Drive end-to-end ownership of an authentication/authorization feature area for the Substrate platform. Lead complex cross-team initiatives, apply threat modeling and secure-by-design practices, and evolve the authentication stack using modern protocols and next-generation cryptography. Provide technical leadership through incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and technical direction for authentication/authorization solutions
• Lead design and code reviews and set engineering standards
• Coordinate complex initiatives across Core Authentication and partner teams
• Ensure compliance requirements are met across commercial, sovereign, and government cloud environments
• Lead production incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis; convert learnings into lasting reliability improvements
• Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical bar

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent)
• Meet required Microsoft and/or government security screening; pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check on hire/transfer and every two years
