Description

Build highly scalable, responsive web applications and web services across front end, business logic, and data access layers using JavaScript and Python. Work with a modern stack including ES6 modules, C#/.NET (ASP.NET, Web API, WCF), and Python with Django and Jinja2 templating. Collaborate with a large development team and communicate with business stakeholders to translate functional specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications and services

• Create reusable shared components and business logic layers

• Design and tune applications for scalability and performance

• Participate in Scrum/Agile delivery with the development team

• Use modern deployment and testing practices

• Translate functional specs gathered from business clients into technical implementation

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience working for US companies in the US

• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) with a major bank or brokerage house

• 10+ years full-stack development including front end, business logic, and data access layers

• 10+ years with JavaScript (ES6, ECMAScript modules), C#, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, ASP.NET, AJAX, WCF, Python, and Jinja2

• 10+ years building scalable, responsive web applications/services using JavaScript (ES6/modules), C#, Web API, and TypeScript

• 10+ years extensive experience with Python and Django plus Jinja2 for web template rendering

• Experience with prominent libraries

• Experience with Node.js and asm.js

• Experience with HTML, HTML5, DHTML, and XHTML

• Extensive CSS and semantic HTML experience

• Extensive SCRUM/Agile methodology experience

• Extensive shared and reusable component development

• Experience designing and tuning scalable applications

• Experience with modern deployment and testing

• Ability to communicate effectively with business clients to gather and translate functional specs

• Experience working as part of a large development team
