Description

Build secure, scalable applications for mission-critical systems, helping establish a cloud platform and enabling AI capabilities. You will implement and refine frontend/backend services, integrate microservices with new data sources and external APIs, and support releases and hot fixes. You will also collaborate on accreditation and security review milestones.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable applications on a fast-paced engineering team

• Review and adjudicate pull requests against team standards and security guidelines

• Troubleshoot and optimize existing code for efficiency and scalability

• Develop custom frontend and backend services for new use cases

• Expand libraries and microservices to integrate with new data sources and external APIs

• Gather requirements and iterate on an MVP with stakeholders

• Support accreditation and security review milestones for enterprise tooling

• Coordinate with product owners and project managers to align with stakeholder requirements

• Support Linux infrastructure and systems as needed

• Perform fault-finding, analysis, and logging for performance exceptions

• Manage and implement software releases and hot fixes

• Create and modify scripts or applications to automate tasks

• Provide input to improve stability, security, efficiency, and scalability

• Collaborate on automation strategies and deployment processes

• Support other projects within the Systems Engineering and Operations (SEO) team

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent combination of education, certifications/training, or work experience

• 5+ years of Cloud Engineering experience

• Strong familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python or Java)

• Strong familiarity with at least one web framework (Django, Node.js, or .NET)

• Experience deploying applications to the cloud

• Familiarity with cloud relational databases and object storage (e.g., RDS and S3)
