  • Schedule/Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite per week), Burbank, CA

  • Duration: 12-month contract with potential conversion to full-time

Description

Build next-generation intelligent infrastructure for the Studio Digital Supply Chain by translating AI prototypes into production-ready microservices and agentic platforms. You will design event-driven services, reliable APIs, and AI middleware that enable workflows such as mastering, localization, and delivery. This is a hands-on senior technical leadership role requiring strong execution and adaptability to evolving AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Productize and optimize AI services by deploying production-ready microservices using Java/Kotlin/Python/TypeScript with Kubernetes and CI/CD

  • Implement event-driven, loosely coupled communication using Kafka and AWS messaging/event services

  • Build and maintain APIs with clear contracts, reliability, observability, and maintainability

  • Lead system design, technical planning, and delivery reviews; collaborate with platform, product, and ML teams

  • Mentor engineers and stay current on LLM tooling, orchestration, and agent frameworks

  • Design AI middleware (API gateways, wrappers, middleware services) to expose studio systems and data to AI agents

  • Manage secure access to tools, metadata, and content systems using Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • Standardize agent interfaces across the supply chain

  • Deploy agentic workflow platforms (e.g., LangGraph/LangChain) for tool execution, context routing, and decision logic

  • Implement tracing, audit logging, governance checkpoints (human approval and fallback paths)

  • Integrate orchestration into media workflows including mastering, localization, and delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 8+ years of backend or systems engineering experience, including 3+ years building AI-powered or workflow-centric platforms

  • Deep proficiency in Java or Kotlin with strong testing, observability, and large-scale systems knowledge

  • Clear, structured communication and demonstrated technical leadership across cross-functional teams

  • Production cloud experience (AWS) plus container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Hands-on infrastructure-as-code deployment experience (Terraform, CDK, or similar)

  • Experience building or integrating workflow engines, ideally in LLM/GenAI contexts

Benefits

  • 12-month contract with potential for full-time conversion
