Description

The COB Platform team is looking for an experienced full stack engineer to support migration of existing low-code applications to a modern React and Java Spring Boot stack deployed on AWS EKS. This role includes migrating business logic from SQL Server stored procedures into clean Java REST APIs and building the corresponding React frontend. You will collaborate closely with the platform architect/manager and a small team in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Migrate backend business logic from SQL Server stored procedures into Java REST APIs

• Build and integrate a React frontend with server state management and routing

• Implement secure authentication/authorization using OIDC/OAuth 2.0 for both SPA and resource server

• Containerize services and deploy to AWS EKS using Kubernetes and Helm

• Add unit and end-to-end test coverage for frontend and backend components

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

• 5+ years of React development (React, TypeScript, functional components, hooks)

• 5+ years of Java development (Java 17 or higher, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)

• Strong REST API design and development experience

• Experience migrating business logic from stored procedures or legacy systems into a Java service layer

• SQL Server (or equivalent relational database) experience working with complex stored procedures

• Docker containerization experience (multi-stage builds, health checks)

• AWS experience (EKS, RDS, S3, IAM fundamentals)

• Helm chart authoring for Kubernetes deployments

• Okta (or equivalent) integration with OIDC/OAuth 2.0 for SPA and backend resource server

• Unit testing experience: JUnit 5 / Mockito and Jest / React Testing Library
