Description

You will build and ship backend APIs and frontend features across a polyglot Python + TypeScript codebase. The role emphasizes Python backend frameworks (FastAPI/Django/Flask), modern TypeScript frameworks (React/Angular/Svelte), and strong type-safe, asynchronous development. You’ll also optimize database queries, work with both relational and NoSQL data stores, and deliver production-ready services on a major cloud provider.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend APIs and services using Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js (Express)

• Implement frontend features using TypeScript frameworks such as React and/or Svelte (also Angular supported)

• Optimize ORM/SQL query performance and manage relational schema evolution with migrations

• Build and integrate database solutions using SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)

• Write and maintain automated tests for shipped work

• Collaborate and work effectively across a polyglot codebase (Python + TypeScript)

• Deploy and operate services with production exposure to Azure and/or AWS

Requirements

• Deep understanding of Python backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)

• Proficiency with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Svelte)

• Solid understanding of asynchronous state management and type safety

• Type hinting experience in Python

• Proficient with ORM and SQL query optimization

• Hands-on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Redis)

• Demonstrated experience implementing features in modern TypeScript frameworks (React and/or Svelte) and writing tests

• Experience building backend APIs and services in Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js (Express)

• Experience with relational databases including schema evolution and migrations

• Comfortable working productively across Python and TypeScript

• Production exposure to Microsoft Azure and/or AWS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
