Description

Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention. Work independently using sound judgment to execute safe, precise procedures and deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Ensure patient assessment, attentive monitoring, effective communication, and compliance with privacy and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to obtain diagnostic images
• Exercise independent clinical judgment to deliver accurate results on time
• Assess and monitor patients; communicate clearly with patients and healthcare teams
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and established policies/procedures
• Protect patients’ PHI (protected health information)
• May perform specific procedures and help orient other department staff

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program (prior to start)
• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist (prior to start) OR CRT/DRT certification required by the state of work (prior to start) OR evidence of ARRT application with CRT/DRT application provided prior to start
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider upon hire
• Radiology fluoroscopy (RHF) within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
• C-ARM experience with Total Joints, Pain Management, and Urology procedures
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including experience responding to traumas and hospital emergencies
