Description

Vascular surgeon position supporting a growing cardiovascular program in San Antonio, Texas. The role emphasizes percutaneous and endovascular treatment as well as open vascular procedures, including peripheral arterial disease, endovascular aortic aneurysm care, and extra-cranial carotid disease. Call is not required but available, and the practice can primarily be focused at one hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide percutaneous/endovascular care for peripheral arterial disease
• Perform open vascular surgical procedures
• Deliver endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms
• Treat extra-cranial carotid disease
• Perform venous procedures (VNUS closure a plus)
• Work with wires and catheters

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in vascular surgery
• 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with wires and catheters
• Experience with percutaneous/endovascular PAD, open vascular surgery, endovascular aortic aneurysm treatment, and extra-cranial carotid disease
• Strong communication skills, leadership track record, and interest in program development and collaboration
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas
• Ability to primarily focus practice at one hospital
