Description

Essen Healthcare is seeking a dynamic, Board-Certified Cardiologist to join its growing Bronx-based outpatient team. The role offers specialized incentives, leadership and teaching opportunities, and access to advanced cardiovascular imaging and in-office procedures. Noninterventional and interventional candidates are welcome, including J-1/Conrad 30 waiver applicants.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through conversations, interviews, and observations

• Order, administer, and interpret patient tests and lab work

• Diagnose and collaborate with other medical staff to determine treatment plans

• Set patient goals and establish timelines, tasks, and medical needs

• Select best medications or therapies; prescribe and monitor patient intake

• Document patient records and track symptoms, medications, and treatments

• Counsel patients and provide emotional support methods for recovery

• Educate patients and families on progress, treatment, and future goals

Requirements

• Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease

• MD or Doctor of Cardiology

• Successful completion of an approved Cardiology residency training program

• Active medical license

• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

• Current DEA registration and DPS registration for prescription writing

• Experience with ECG, Echo, and stress testing
