Description

Board-Certified Cardiologist to join a Bronx-based outpatient team. You will evaluate patients, order and analyze diagnostic testing (including ECG/echo/stress testing), develop treatment plans, prescribe and monitor medications, and document progress. Advanced imaging interpretation (Cardiac CT, nuclear, vascular) and in-office procedures (including venous ablation and peripheral interventions) are part of the opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through interviews, conversations, and observation

• Administer patient tests or request testing/lab work and analyze results

• Diagnose and determine treatment plans in collaboration with other medical staff

• Set patient goals and establish timelines, tasks, and medical needs

• Select best medications or therapy to help patients reach goals

• Prescribe medications and monitor intake

• Document symptoms, medications, treatments, and progress

• Counsel patients and provide recovery tools

• Educate patients, families, and relevant parties on progress, treatment, and future goals

Requirements

• Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease required

• MD or Doctor of Cardiology

• Successful completion of an approved cardiology residency training program

• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing

• Experience with ECG, Echo, Stress Testing

• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
